Tolkien was right about quite a few important topics. Scientists now know he was also right about the complexity and interconnectedness of our cousins the trees. From Collective Evolution.

Man, now what will I do for firewood? 🙂

You gratefully build your fire and plant a tree.
Good answer. Better yet, use only downed trees that haven’t decayed yet.
So cool I shared it on Facebook. Eerily wondrous . . .
Jan,
Wondrous indeed. Nature is more alive and aware than we realize. But we’re waking up.
What in the world? It’s not unbelievable, I suppose…just shocking.
KE Garland,
I’d say it’s both surprising and comforting
I knew this since I was a little girl. I’m glad science is catching up! Great share, Mike.
Diana,
And that sums it up: Science is catching up with folklore.
Thanks for sharing. Important knowledge.
Well said, Mike. It is absolutely true. I love our tree cousins.
Jennie,
Me, too.
🙂
A lovely reminder…
Bette,
Many thanks for the tweet!
Mother Earth is amazing.
An interesting post. I viewed the video but from my own point of view , trees and all other forms of life vibrate. I love the big beautiful trees and the scientific perspective in the video.
America On Coffee,
What fascinates me is how modern science is verifying much of what traditional peoples somehow knew. The idea that the earth and its creatures are connected and aware of each other in ways we could not readily grasp was not news to the ancients.
Very true. That’s it! Modern science points us back to the real resources. Have a wonderful day!
Do Monsanto trees have heart beats? Genetic engineering threatens to profane natural wonder, but I hope we can avoid that. Too many wish to improve upon the unimprovable.
